About Us

Based in Hawthorn, Melbourne, the NIIM Clinic brings together Integrative General Practitioners, Medical Specialists and Allied Health Professionals to support patients on their healthcare journey. We recognise that individuals should have access to health information and an integrative holistic health care service that will enable them to manage their own health. At a community level we provide health education and research to advance the understanding and value of integrative medicine, early intervention and improved disease management.

About the position

Day to Day responsibilities of the role will include;

  • Working on a busy reception, answering telephone calls, scheduling of appointments, and responding to enquiries.
  • Welcoming and greeting patients in a courteous and respectful manner
  • Attending to requests from specialist clinics
  • Management and scanning of patient documents
  • Supporting practitioners with administrative tasks.
  • Informing patients of any fees associated with their visit, and operate all aspects of billing
  • Daily banking reconciliation
  • All other general daily administrative duties

What you will bring

To succeed in this role, you will need to be able to work in a fast paced environment and love dealing with patients face to face and over the phone.

Other key skills and strengths to succeed in this role are;

  1. Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including clear written instruction and excellent phone manner.
  3. Knowledge of administrative effectiveness and front desk operations.
  4. Ability to multi-task, work on own initiative, and within a team environment.
  5. A champion of culture – contribute to a rich, positive environment.
  6. Enthusiasm and a hands-on approach
  7. Knowledge of the quality and safety standards required in a medical business
  8. Creative thinker, solution orientated with flexibility and ability to adapt to new ideas and processes
  9. Knowledge of Best Practice software an advantage
