Dr Michelle Wang
Dr Michelle Wang studied medicine in China where, as a senior medical student, she developed a special interest in cancer cell biology and bio-mechanics. As a resident medical officer in 2001-2002, she pursued an ongoing involvement in a cancer cell bio-mechanics research project and the role of hyperthermia. Dr Wang continued her work in research over the following three years, during which time she collaborated on and led several research projects, published several articles and participated in editing the medical textbook ‘Molecular Genetics of the Tumour Cell’. Following completion of her Master’s degree, Dr Wang returned to clinical medicine, working as an attending oncologist at YinZhou Peoples Hospital Ningbo City.
Dr Wang relocated to Australia in 2011 to pursue research in Hyperthermia cancer treatment. She brings to NIIM her unique blend of clinical and research experience in oncology, along with a commitment to Hyperthermia research to improve the quality and quantity of life for those undergoing cancer treatment.
