Due to the widespread use of Complementary Medicine in the community, medical practitioners, pharmacists and paramedical personnel are under a considerable amount of pressure to improve their knowledge in this area of medicine.
The National Institute of Integrative Medicine meets this need by providing education programs that familiarise users, product vendors and practitioners with the roles of CAM in health management
The NIIM courses have been designed by leading medical and academic staff to educate students in Complementary and Alternative Medicine, and its place in the medical field today. The courses available will include Complementary Medicine and Health, Nutritional and Environmental Medicine, Mind Body Medicine, Clinical Toxicology and Anti-Ageing Medicine.
Established for healthcare practitioners and also open to the public, the NIIM courses will be government accredited Certificate, Post-Graduate Diploma, Masters and Short Courses. All courses will be contained fully online within a state-of-the-art course delivery module, incorporating live online workshops, forums and tutorials, with optional face to face seminars for local students.
This self-paced learning system provides students with the flexibility to work at their own pace from home, and structure their education around professional and personal commitments.
NIIM emphasises a supportive learning environment, providing student resources, opportunities to discuss course material with staff via online Q&A sessions, and meet with other students online. Academic and administration staff at NIIM strive to make “Study @ NIIM” a streamlined, flexible education experience.
