The Vodafone Foundation Australia are giving 5 Australians the incredible opportunity to work for the charity of their choice for one year, paying an annual salary of up to $60,000 and expenses of up to $15,000.

Dear Friends & Supporters of Integrative Medicine,

No doubt you have seen the recent campaign headed by Prof John Dwyer calling for universities to stop education in the areas of complementary medicine. A new group called ‘Friends of Science in Medicine’ has formed to lobby against universities including complementary medicine in their curriculum. They also want the government to stop subsidising complementary medicine through the private health insurance rebate, even though 50% of the public see a complementary medicine practitioner and 70% use natural supplements!

With an informative and personal approach, Dr Meade deals with the many aspects of facing prostate cancer, from diagnosis, the role of the supporting partner, to understanding the available medical information.

Economic report finds complementary medicine could significantly ease health budget

A recent report from ‘Access Economics’ one of Australia's leading economic forecasting firms, investigated the cost-effectiveness of natural medicines for some of Australia’s most common health problems. The results strongly indicate that the nation could save millions in healthcare if complementary medicines and therapies were more widely used.

NIIM Grand Opening Celebration

In November 2009, the National Institute of Integrative Medicine was officially launched with a fantastic opening celebration held at the NIIM premises in Hawthorn East. Orchestrated by dedicated NIIM staff and volunteers, with help from some wonderful organisations, the event was the vehicle for many like minded people to come together in support of a common goal, and learn more about the history and future of the NIIM.

NIIM IV Clinic Now Open

The long-awaited NIIM Wellness Clinic IV & Chelation Suite is now in operation. Offering intra-venous Vitamin and Mineral drips, such as Vitamin C for immunity, and Chelation Therapy for the removal of heavy metals from the body, the IV Clinic provides services for both treatment and prevention of illness.
