Dr Stephen Jelbart

Integrative Medical Practitioner – Health Management

Stephen is a GP with more than 30 years’ experience. He has a special interest in nutritional medicine and has extensive experience in Preventative Medicine, Personal Development and Motivation, Lifestyle Change and Performance Enhancement.
As well as general suburban medicine, Stephen has worked with the Royal Flying Doctor Service as a roving GP in rural and remote central NSW. He is a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner, a Medical Review Officer and previously worked as Assistant Forensic Medical Officer for the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine. He was the School Medical Officer for Scotch College for 30 years and was previously the Chief Medical Officer for Aviva Insurance. In 1996 he formalised his passion for nutrition becoming a Fellow of the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine and has recently been awarded Fellowship of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
Stephen has joined the NIIM Clinic from his practice in the CBD where he ran the Corporate Health Evaluation Centre providing comprehensive top-to-toe health assessments.

Stephen is a master at the art of distilling the essence of health management into simple, enjoyable, achievable, bite size chunks that actually work to improve performance, enjoyment of life and minimise health risks.

Stephen is a rowing coach assisting the VIS, keeps fit by running and cycling and is an enthusiastic cook and gardener.

Consultation times/fees

From June 2018, Dr Stephen Jelbart consults Monday – Friday but not on Wednesday or Friday afternoon.
