Professor Rob Moodie

Rob Moodie is Professor of Public Health at the University of Melbourne and at the University of Malawi. He worked in refugee health care in the Sudan for Save the Children and MSF and for the Aboriginal health service in Alice Springs from 1982-1988. He worked for many years on HIV prevention for the Burnet Institute, WHO and UNAIDS. He was CEO of VicHealth from 1998-2007 and from 2008-2011 he chaired the National Preventative Health Taskforce, which recommended the introduction of plain packaging. He was Victorian Father of the Year in 2005, was unceremoniously dumped as Chair of the Melbourne Storm in 2010 and received an AM in 2014. He has been teaching leadership skills for the last ten years and is now establishing a program in health leadership in Malawi. He chairs the Global Vaccine Alliance’s Evaluation Committee and advises WHO on health promotion and NCDs.

Professor Paul Komerasoff

Prof Paul Komesaroff is a Professor of Medicine, practicing Physician with a speciality in endocrinology and Executive Director of the International NGO Global Reconciliation. He also has a Phd in Philosophy. Paul has an international reputation in health care ethics and has developed expertise in both quantitative and qualitative investigations of the cultural and social dimensions of health and healthcare. Paul is Director of the Centre for Ethics in Medicine and Society and has made a major impact on the field of clinical ethics in Australia.
